Alaska says ‘no’ to New York Statutory Power of Attorney

The agent for one of my clients called to say that Alaska Federal Credit Union told her they don’t accept the New York Statutory Power of Attorney. And, each time she wanted to transact business on behalf of the principal, they would both have to come to the branch where the account was opened, in Anchorage. The Power of Attorney has always been troublesome.
